Track Name: Brand New Model
Now my daddy was a brick mason
His daddy and his daddy too
I must got lucky cause
I learned how to play a song or two
And I like to play for the ladies whenever I can
I’m the brand new model
Of the old fashioned honky-tonk man

No my momma was a lady
She taught me how to treat ‘em right
My daddy taught me how to sweat
And push with all my might
Now I ain’t afraid of using my bare hands
I’m the brand new model
Of the old fashioned honky-tonk man

Now we can go honky tonking momma
Till a little before the break of dawn
And then it be time
For me to take you home
And I need you to show me you understand
I’m the brand new model
Of the old fashioned honky-tonk man

Now you now I love the ladies
And how I’ve loved the wine
But now I ain’t never had a friend
like this old guitar of mine
Yeah she’s been right there for me, when the times got bad
I’m the brand new model
Of the old fashioned honky-tonk man
Track Name: Long Live
Now I ain’t nothing but a guitar picker
Been playing this thing since before I was sinner
I learned to sing in the church choir
She was a real fine sister
I played her a song and then leaned in to kiss her
That Sunday after church would light my fire

Sure enough the winter get’s cold
Good boys die before they’re old
Long live Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll
By the good book I am told
Life is short so don’t sell your soul
Long Live Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll

Now this world has seen tragedy
From the Trail of Tears to Wounded Knee
Ain’t nothing gonna quench man’s desire
So thank God I’m a simple man
And you know I do the best I can
So when the sun goes down momma take me higher

Sure enough the winter get’s cold
Good boys die before they’re old
Long live Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll
By the good book I am told
Life is short so don’t sell your soul
Long Live Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll

As the sun goes down and I’m getting cold
All of life’s truths unfold
Hell, you know I’ve been stoned most my life
But I thank you woman for being true
And for the wine and the weed, well, I thank you too
I know how you helped me through those lonely nights
Track Name: She Loves Me
What else can a poor boy do when he ain’t got no place to rest
Find a way to make it through give your money to the girl you love the best
Get in the car roll the windows down turn around and head out to the west
Find our fortune with movie stars a place where the sun never sets

Cause She Loves Me, I lose my mind
Cause She Loves Me, I do my time

Now it’s a late Memphis night out of gas and I feel a bit hungry too
Just wait right let me go inside and See what I can do
Don’t look now things get out of hand Just put the peddle to the floor
Santa Fe and a another store let’s just stop and see If we can get us a little more

Cause She Loves Me, I lose my mind
Cause She Loves Me, I do my time

10 years now a girl I know I write to every night
She says she can come set me free so we can hold each other tight

Cause She Loves Me, I lose my mind
Cause She Loves Me, I do my time
Track Name: Eternity too
Don’t say goodbye, instead say goodnight
I only wanted to stand next to you
And now you’re here I can’t let you go
No that’s something I could never do.
No I would never ever want to get rid of you.

Go on and fight if you must
the hook is set but I can pretend if you want me too
or Angel of mine, you could just go on and stay awhile
you know I ain’t letting go until I’m through
Yeah I tell you that includes eternity too

We all have dreams of heavenly things
And then we have to wake up and go on to face the truth
While holding on to hope that angels really do exist yeah
And waiting for God to give up on a miracle or two
And waiting for God to give up on a miracle or two

Don’t say goodbye, instead say goodnight
I only wanted to stand next to you
And now you’re here I can’t let you go
No that’s something I could never do.
No I would never ever want to get rid of you.
Track Name: Shotgun
Man you just don’t understand what I’ve been through
Worked hard all my life just to have the little that I do
From can see to can’t see, till the cows come ‘round
I worked my fingers to the bone, just to buy a little ground
And I’d like to know why you think you have the right
To waltz in here and try to take my woman from me tonight
And I know damn well you see a ring perfectly place
But what’s gonna kill you is that smile on her face

I’ve got a shotgun tell you what I’m gonna do
I’m gonna stick this 3” mag up your wazoo
You don’t stop messin’ with my woman, you’re gonna be blue
I’ve got a shotgun, And I’m gonna use it on you

Now it’s a sad time and place, nobody got no respect
I know I’ve done my part to add to this wreck
The world don’t need anymore violence, this is true
But ain’t nobody gonna miss a bastard like you
Buddy there’s kids in this game, you just don’t understand
You’re messin with my WIFE, and I am a jealous man
I ain’t talking property but that woman has my heart
You keep messin’ around and a war you will start

I’ve got a shotgun tell you what I’m gonna do
I’m gonna stick this 3” mag up your wazoo
You don’t stop messin’ with my woman, you’re gonna be blue
I’ve got a shotgun, And I’m gonna use it on you

I’aint never shot nobody nor did nobody wrong.
Now you better listen close to the words of this song
I know in the bible it says murdering ain’t right
But no one knows how lonely I get at night
So they may lock me up till my life’s gone by
Bread and water and solitude till I die
But I tell you buddy I’ll be smiling all the way
Cause I sent a bastard like you to your grave.

I’ve got a shotgun tell you what I’m gonna do
I’m gonna stick this 3” mag up your wazoo
You don’t stop messin’ with my woman, you’re gonna be blue
I’ve got a shotgun, And I’m gonna use it on you
Track Name: 3:16 (until now)
All my life the real poetry was untouchable
Drawing boxes in the sky wondering where I could go
But now back home, it’s either moonshine or the coalmine
Daddy worked his fingers to the bone, but he never made a dime

And the preacher would tell us hold on to shaded pastures
But the world kept spinning round faster and faster
And I would sit in my room and play my guitar
And wonder why things are the way they are

But I held on waiting for my train
And you come along like a driving rain

You taught me how to love, how to love myself
And all this hurt would lead to somewheres else
And some things are worth believing in even when they don’t prove true
To expect the unexpected, and just to pray my way through

When all my muses could no longer inspire
You come along like a burning fire

Until now, the poetry was untouchable
Track Name: Uncle Sam
I buy my dope from a man named uncle sam
He’s the real deal all American
Drives a chevy truck got a tractor tan
Ain’t no telling man where he’s been
Lost a brother in down in Vietnam
When I pull in the drive he knows who I am

So I buy my dope from man named uncle sam
He’s good friend when you’re in a jam
Sometimes when I feel like I just can’t win
He’s right there with the medicine
Saying “take a hit and try to understand
God’s got everything under his command

I buy my dope from a man named uncle sam
Well, it does seem to be the latest trend
When you don’t feel good go see the doctor and
Get you a dose of good medicine
I’d rather get mine from the land
And give my money to a more honest man

Oh Doctor won’t you please
Write a prescription for me

I buy my dope from a man named uncle sam
Southern Fried Chicken, eggs and bacon
and a little bit of coffee with my medicine
Early in the morning with the roosters & hens
And late at night about a quarter to ten
Then I’ll wake up tomorrow and do it all again

Oh Doctor won’t you please
Write a prescription for me
Track Name: White Dress
Will you walk inside this evening, and you ask how I am.
And you say that you’re sorry for the dozenth time again.
And I don’t know where you go, no I don’t know where you’ve been.
You got ten other boys just like me cursing you for your sins.

I seen the devil downtown in a cold corner bar
He was drinking bourbon whiskey and smoking a cigar
He said "Yeah, I’ve got the bible but I ain’t got no car.
I’ve been trying all my life but I ain’t got too far.”

So girl you think that white dress will set you above the rest.
But I’ve been though your closet, I now your secrets.
Well I won’t buy your alibis your lies you tell me
What you had was good girl, and soon you will see

I seen the devil he was kind and polite
He wore a shiny suit and said his words just right
He bought me a drink and we talked all night
Even devils believe in angels and tremble at their sight

Well it’s okay girl, yeah I know what you’re up to
I’m doing fine I guess, no there’s nothing you need do
I know the good Lord’s with me, yeah, I’ll get what’s due.
Yeah, I’ll get what’s coming to me, you get what’s coming to you.

I seen the devil downtown in a cold corner bar
He was drinking bourbon whiskey and smoking a cigar
He said "Yeah I’ve got the bible but I ain’t got no car.
You can try all your life but you might not get that far.”
I seen the devil he was kind and polite
He wore a shiny suit, he said his words just right
He bought me a drink and we talked all night
Even devils believe in angels and tremble at their sight
Track Name: Over the Mountain
Momma I’m going over the mountain
To sell a jug of my moonshine
There’s a man over there
who give us a dollar a gallon
That’ll get us through to wintertime

Momma I’m going over the mountain
To fetch us all winter shoes
It’s a hard time when there ain’t
No way to make a dollar
God knows a man will do what he’s gotta do

I don’t mind dying in some coal mine
But I sure do mind the pay
If you want me to be an honest man
Then give me an honest wage

Momma I’m going over the mountain
To sell a jug of my homemade wine
There’s a lot good folks
Who’ll pay good money
For a jug or two of good ol’ time

Momma I’m going over the mountain
If I ain’t back by the first day of fall
Learn up like you should
on how to make that whiskey good
Because I probably won’t be coming back at all

I don’t mind dying in some coal mine
But I sure do mind the pay
If you want me to be an honest man
Then give me an honest wage
